Coordinator for Lung, Sleep and Neurophysiology

Cromwell Hospital, London SW5 0TU

Permanent

Up to £32,000 + Excellent benefits

Full time hours – 37.5 (Shifts are 9am to 5pm with occasional evening work and some hybrid working options available)

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be an integral member of a rapidly growing diagnostics service within the Cromwell Hospital and will work across the Diagnostics service of Neurophysiology, Lung and Sleep. You will provide administrative support and assistance to facilitate a seamless patient journey for Lung & Sleep and Neurophysiology services

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • To work closely with the dedicated co-ordinators for Lung & Sleep and neurophysiology to provide a frictionless patient pathway.
  • Reception/Telephone duties: To answer the telephone, deal with enquiries and relay messages and results accurately and promptly for the neurophysiology and Lung & sleep department.
  • To support the reception roster of the Clinical Investigation Centre by providing cover when agreed.
  • To produce daily clinic lists for the clinical teams and distribute to the relevant section, facilitating co-ordination and support for day to day clinics.
  • To ensure finalised reports are collated and uploaded to the relevant centralised resource, and distributed to the appropriate referrer in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Coordination of the Neuroscience MDT Meeting when required.
  • To maintain the report trackers and to ensure completed reports are tracked and recorded as completed within set time-frames.
  • To ensure accurate and timely application of charges for all completed procedures.
  • To ensure all referral requests for bookings are actioned within 24 hours and to ensure all patients referred are registered and appointments times co-ordinated within 24 hours on receipt of referral.
  • To ensure that patients booked in for testing procedures receive relevant patient information about their tests, prior to attendance at clinic or admission to hospital.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience in administration/coordination within a hospital setting
  • IT literate – Microsoft office proficient
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Able to work on own initiative, prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • Good timekeeping but prepared to be flexible
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues
