Commercial Manager - Warrington

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our client, a leading modular building company. As Commercial Manager you will report to the Commercial Director and oversee the administering of contracts commercially, you will support and mentor a team of QS’s that are working on ‘live’ projects and be a key member of the framework team!

*This role will require working from the clients Hull & Warrington offices and you will need to travel to sites across the UK when needed.

Responsibilities As Commercial Manager:

  • Govern the administering of contracts, support / lead in pre-defined areas.
  • Support the framework team in managing against the framework principles, ensure the business is compliant on commercial aspects.
  • You will be a key relationship manager to the client team. Working closely with the client solutions team to build and maintain the relationships and reputation of the business.
  • Lead on contract negotiations
  • Take the lead on KPI obtaining and reporting.
  • Empower and mentor the project teams to deliver strong risk and commercial management of supply chain and the client.
  • Assessing and effectively Managing Risk on the projects.
  • Lead on the effective resolution of contractual and commercial disputes.
  • The delivery of timely and accurate Cashflow, Cost to Complete, Risk and CVR reporting.
  • Attend monthly project reviews.
  • Lead on project lessons learnt from a commercial perspective.
  • Attend and support the project gateway adjudications.
  • Work closely with all areas of the business, as required to ensure the project / sector success.
  • Understand the product, the specifications, and the detail of contracts.

Requirements for Commercial Manager:

  • Successful candidates must have experience in Modern Methods of Construction.
  • Experienced in Frameworks
  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying (RICS Desirable)
  • Min of 3yrs experience of working in role or similar
