Community Care Worker x4

Dudley

£23,497.50 per annum

37.5 hours per week

About the role

We are seeking to recruit individuals to join our team as a community care worker who is, enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, compassionate, dedicated and wanting to make a difference for people with learning disabilities.

You will be responsible for providing person centred support to customers within their homes and local community. The role can be challenging but is equally rewarding due to the varied needs of individual customers we support. Punctuality and reliability are essential to meet the requirements of the role.

Experience within social care as well as a good understanding of challenges faced by people with learning difficulties, autism and mental health conditions would be advantageous, as would Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor customers health and wellbeing, record and report any changes to relevant internal and external bodies
  • Understand and act upon any safeguarding concerns
  • Support customers with life skills (including financial budgeting, diet, nutrition and exercise) and empower them to make a positive contribution to society
  • Effectively working in partnership with external agencies for the benefit of customers

About You

We are looking for applicants who are reliable, honest, caring, dedicated, and flexible and work on a rota basis to include bank holidays, weekends and sleep- ins. In addition, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated staff to support our service users in all areas of their everyday living skills and daily activities – all in a person-centred way.
