Community Funds Adviser - Foundation Scotland

Permanent, 35 hours per week

Location - homebased, flexible within Argyll and Bute

Starting salary: 36,908

Since 1996, Foundation Scotland has helped distribute more than 170 million to charities and community groups across the country, supporting the development of happier, fairer, and more sustainable communities.

We support philanthropists to help their personal giving make the most difference. We work with donors to invest in community action that enables people and places to flourish. We work in partnership with communities to maximise opportunities from place-based funds. And we offer social investment opportunities to enable social enterprises, community organisations and charities to grow and deliver positive social impact.

The Communities Team supports communities to design and distribute place-based funds coming from a range of sources, notably within the renewables sector. We provide fund management, grant administration and related services for a range of commercial and community-sector clients, combined with a commitment to community-led approaches to fund strategy and distribution.

To strengthen our Communities Team we are recruiting for a Community Funds Adviser to develop, co-ordinate and deliver a portfolio of community benefit funds in Argyll and Bute.

Key responsibilities include supporting community-led decision-making arrangements, implementing a diverse range of funding programmes, and engaging with communities to maximise fund opportunities and impact.

Reporting to a Community Funds Manager you will have strong analytical skills, the ability to process complex information quickly and accurately, a proficiency for writing, an eye for detail and be a strong relationship builder.

You will have high standards, a positive can-do attitude and can demonstrate long term commitment to the sector and Foundation Scotland's values.

If you have excellent communication skills and practical experience in grant-making, community facilitation and capacity building and you're excited to learn more, please contact our recruitment partner LHH on +44 (0) (phone number removed).

Applications in the form of a tailored CV and a covering letter (no longer than two pages), highlighting your skills and experience pertinent to the role.
