Community Registered Nurse

  • Salary:  £28,400 - £34,500 ( band 5) - depending on experience
  • Hours:  Full time or part time hours available - NO NIGHTS
  • Contract type:  Permanent

About the role:
We are currently looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join an innovative service that provides care to acutely unwell patients in the comfort of their own homes. The role will be based at their North Bristol hospital, however nurses will need their own car as the role covers caring for patients across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire in the community. This fantastic service offers an alternative to hospital and helps people return to their homes quicker, knowing that they have the support and care that they need. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate Registered Nurses to care for patients with a range of conditions including frailty, respiratory, heart failure and general surgical recovery.
The team are passionate about person centred care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and looking for a like-minded Registered Nurses to join them.  

You will be working as a Community Registered Nurse and responsible for the following duties;

  • Providing acute care to patients with complex and specialist needs in the community
  • Working alongside the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate care plans
  • Assessing the health and psychosocial needs of the patient within the hospital and community setting
  • Plan and implement treatment
  • Utilise a wide range of clinical skills to support patients including delivery IV therapies, venepuncture, cannulation and wound care
  • Communicating effectively to ensure high quality safe and compassionate care is provided for patients, careers and their families

Who we're looking for

  • Be NMC registered- your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Has a full UK driving license and ass access to an insured car daily
  • Able to work within a diverse community of patients and health care professionals.
  • Competent in venepuncture, cannulation, VAC therapy, CVC device management
  • At least 1 years UK nursing experience in a similar setting (ideally community setting)
  • Teaching and Assessing qualification desirable
  • Strong communication skills
