Contract Senior Civil Engineer (Water)

Full Job Description

Our client are an award winning multi disciplinary design consultancy who are looking to recruit Senior Civil Engineers to join their dynamic Water Division, supporting the delivery of a variety of Design & Build projects as part of major capital investment programmes.

Day to day you will provide technical solutions, develop detailed designs, mentor and develop other engineers and support Project Managers and Team Leaders.

You will provide technical expertise to ensure that projects are delivered to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards.

About you;

To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant subject. You will also ideally be an Incorporated or Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM.

Ideally, you'll have previous experience of developing detailed designs, working in a Design and Build environment, leading and developing civil engineers and managing other technical professionals.

We are seeking civil engineers across all areas of water and wastewater infrastructure / networks and treatment. Due to the nature of upcoming projects, ideally, you will also have experience in one or more of these technical areas:

Sustainable Urban Drainage and Surface Water Management
Trunk Mains and Large Diameter Pipeline Design
Service Reservoirs
Clean Water TreatmentAbout the role:

Must have extensive UK water industry experience
Able to commute to our Leeds office and be present 3 days per week
Happy to be flexible on rates, all inside IR35
Likely initial 6 months, with potential to extend
