Position: Contracts Manager

Company Overview:
Our Client Construction, a distinguished high-end refurbishment specialist, is seeking a dynamic Contracts Manager to join their team. With over 30 years of experience, Our Client has built a solid reputation for excellence in challenging structural modifications, basement excavation, and restoration projects across various sectors including prime residential, commercial, heritage, and private education.

Project Examples:

£18m, Mayfair - Structural alterations to a private residential property and super prime finishes.

£21m, Southwest London - Conversation of a substantial private residence and surrounding estate into a private school.

£10m, Central London - Roof removal, addition of a new storey, cut and carve of a listed office building through to CAT B fit out.

£10m, West End of London - Refurbishment/ Restoration of an Embassy

Role: Contracts Manager

The business is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead projects within the Kent region. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction, particularly with experience in listed buildings, with opportunities for progression in the future. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Meet targets for time, cost, profitability, and quality.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and professional teams.
  • Provide innovative solutions to project challenges.
  • Offer strategic input at project level.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and construction methods.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a building-related subject.
  • Proven experience in construction project management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of CDM and health and safety legislation.
  • Experience with Listed Building / Heritage Construction Projects
