Location: Nottinghamshire
ATA are closely working with a global leader in intralogistics and materials handling technology, who provide state of the art technological solutions for customers such as Coca-Cola, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Pfizer.
Part of a group of companies our client has seen year on year growth and are currently looking for a Controls & Commissioning Engineer to join their dynamic team at their modern offices in Nottingham.
As a Controls & Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of a successful design function working on varied and multiple projects for their global client base, you will also have the opportunity to develop and progress within the business with a structured growth and training plan, which includes external training courses and support for further education.
The Role:
As a
Controls & Commissioning Engineer, you will be working cradle to grave
projects within the logistics/automated warehouse industry. You will
have full responsibility for developing the automation solutions in
conjunction the electrical design team, before leading up to then
taking the lead role in implementing final commissioning to handover
stage at client sites across the UK, Europe and internationally.
Some of the duties that the Controls & Commissioning Engineer will have to carry out are to:
- Developing PLC code and associated processes from scratch and to company standard functions
- Implementing final commissioning to handover stage
- Barcoding and interaction with WCS/WMS systems and networks such as Profibus, Ethernet or Asi
The Candidate:
To be successful in your application for the
Controls & Commissioning Engineer role you will need:
- An Electrical engineering qualification.
- Experience designing PLC control systems from scratch
- Commissioning experience
- Able to read schematics
- A background in automated logistics, warehousing, ASRS or conveyors would be highly advantageous
- A team player
- A customer focussed way of working
- Happy to travel up to 50% of the time across client sites
