Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer based in an easily commutable location near Selby to recruit a Control Systems Engineer to join their team.
Our client is looking for a Control Systems Engineer who has experience with motion control software on various PLC platforms, with an aptitude to develop efficient software and exposure to software simulation tools before ‘on-machine’ testing.
Duties and responsibilities of the Control Systems Engineer include:
- Creation and testing of PLC and HMI/SCADA software applications primarily using Siemens
- Network design and implementation of industry-standard protocols including MODBUS and OPC.
- Provide a high level of commercial awareness to ensure software design solutions are delivered in the most cost-effective manner
- Preparation of design documentation
- Effectively communicate project status to the Control Systems Manager, customers and suppliers
- Commissioning on customer sites in both the UK and abroad
- Ensure that design quality is maintained throughout the project
- Plan resource requirements with the Control Systems Manager
- Provide technical input at internal and external design review meetings
To be successful in this Control Systems Engineers role you will need the following experience/skills:
- Apprentice trained or degree qualified.
- Proficient in the use of Rockwell and Siemens programming platforms would be advantageous.
- Integration of robotics/ vision systems/ servo drives into automation solutions.
- Background in Process Automation
