About the Job

William James Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Corporate and Commercial Director to join a Legal 500, currently ranked Tier 4 for Corporate and Commercial work in the Thames Valley, Oxfordshire and Berkshire regions.

Corporate and Commercial - Director - Up to £100,000 salary

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Corporate and Commercial Director to join a Legal 500, currently ranked Tier 4 for Corporate and Commercial.

The Corporate and Commercial team has a very strong client base of local, national and international clients which we are looking to build upon, primarily with Cherwell based businesses and beyond. The Cherwell area is very active from a corporate and commercial perspective, primarily with Owner/managed businesses to UK subsidiaries of International brands. Sectors of particular growth in the area are: Tech innovative Engineering, Gaming, Automotive (especially motorsport), Distribution and Food team.

The firm’s Corporate and Commercial Solicitor will have experience in general Commercial work and corporate experience especially mid size Mergers and Acquisitions.

For the successful candidate there is an opportunity to become Head of Department in the near future. It would be advantageous to have experience in Intellectual Property, Information Technology and data protection fields.

The Candidate

• Corporate and Commercial Solicitor with at least 10 years post qualification experience
• Attend marketing/networking events for the firm to bring in work
• Representing the firm through external/internal presentations
• Ability to work to deadlines/targets, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
• Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
