Athenium Consultancy (“the Advisor”)

The Advisor to a group of main market listed Acquisition Holding Companies is seeking to add an experienced Corporate Development Director with VC/PE M&A, fund raising and portfolio company syndication and capital raising experience.

The role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director, General Counsel and Chairman.

The successful candidate should be a rainmaker, able to originate and execute acquisitions, and disposals, as well as experienced in managing capital markets transactions, raising additional corporate capital, as well as working with external financial advisors to syndicate and raise growth and development capital for investee companies.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of deal origination, analysis, acquisition, oversight, and disposal.

Build an effective working relationship with advisors, introducers, Venture Capital, Private Equity and Family Office investors, and co-investors.

Project manage a range of transactions including Acquisitions, Growth Capital Raising through to deal Completion, integration/separation and ultimately disposal.

Prepare and oversee preparation of key documents and materials, including Teasers, Information Memoranda, market analysis and financial models.

Manage Due Diligence processes and act as key contact for advisors and buyers / sellers.

Work closely with investee company management to execute their growth strategy.

Requirements

Proven experience in VC, PE, Corporate Finance or Investment Banking.

Professionally qualified (ACA or equivalent, CFA or MBA preferred).

Successful capital raising experience.

Valuation and financial modelling expertise.

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

High level of integrity and dependability.

International experience preferable, specifically in the UK, Western Europe and the USA.

Excellent commercial and business acumen.

Exceptional communication skills at all levels.

Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making.

The Adviser is seeking applicants with immediate availability and will consider full term employment or consultancy candidates.

Compensation will be a combination of a base and performance fee, plus share related incentive fee.

Ideally based within easy commute of London.

The position will be located in the UK with occasional travel to Europe.
