PKF Smith Cooper is looking for an experienced person to join our team as a Corporate Finance Director with a potential fast track route to partner for an exceptional candidate. This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to take ownership of their career and become a leading influencer in the expansion of our corporate finance services in the Midlands.
PKF is a leading accounting international practice with $1.4bn revenues globally. In the UK, the corporate finance function completes c.150 M&A deals a year across all sectors – providing a wealth of knowledge for our team and for our clients. PKF Smith Cooper, recently joined the PKF network and is rapidly expanding on the back of this. We complete c.30days a year in the Midlands, typically in the value range from £1m - £50m. Our team support on disposals, acquisitions, raising finance and valuations. Our corporate finance division has won multiple Insider Dealmaker awards in the East and West Midlands, and we are seeking to expand the team with an ambition to double the size of the division in 3-5 years.
We believe this is an exciting opportunity to drive growth on the back of an international brand, whilst still benefiting from a boutique/entrepreneurial style of leadership. Our remuneration package includes strong visibility on bonus calculations.

The skills and experience you will bring:- ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong technical skills and experience in managing complex transactions, including M&A, fundraising, and valuations.
- Proven track record in business development and building long-term relationships with clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to lead and manage a team.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for the firm to grow and develop its services.
