Cost Controller (French and English speaker)

SEGULA Technologies serves Clients in the Nuclear Energy sector. We focus on design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, decommissioning and dismantling also covering logistics and documentation. 

We are currently looking for a Cost Controller to join us and help deliver a project in Bristol.

The successful Candidate will be supporting the delivery of nuclear power plant project through the following activities:

• Managing the budgets (including the actuals of the previous years, the current year, and forecasting at completion.
• Quotation of Compensation Events and Variations:
  • Supporting project senior managers.
  • Completing the cost spreadsheet of the Change Request.
  • Checking that hours, prices and WBS entries are correct, and implementing it into the cost database.
• Editing & following cost actuals:
  • Extracting the data from the accounting tool (SAP).
  • Explaining the gaps between the actuals and the forecast at the relevant level of reporting.
  • Preparing the support to report on the financial performance.
  • Monitoring the actions opened due to the gap analysis feedback (for example to correct booking errors).
• Ensuring consistency with the Work Breakdown Structure used for the time schedule in order to calculate the Cost Performance Indicator (CPI).
• Closure of the month:
  • Following the reception of the orders in SAP and to support all the stakeholders to record accruals if needed.
  • Producing the accruals for the accounting department.
• Invoicing between entities:
  • Supporting the preparation of invoicing documents.
  • Reallocating the amount invoiced on a single EOTP code to the correct EOTP codes.
• Quality control on the booking information in order proceed to the correction if needed.

Essential:

• Minimum of 6 years of  experience in project cost control.
• Strong experience in financial analysis and gap analysis between actuals, budget and forecasts.
• Exposure to working in an engineering /highly regulated sector.
• Ability to communicate in English and French professionally.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and SAP..

Desirable:

• Competent user of Power BI.
• Experience in MS Excel VBA.
• Knowledge of Target Price contracts.

• Fixed term contract. 
• Location: Bristol (working week: 3 days in the office and 2 days  - home)
