Counterparty Credit & Traded Market Risk Manager | S3 | Risk

You will be a contributor role within Market and Structural Risk accountable for identifying, understanding, and monitoring specific market and counterparty credit risks and ensuring they are reported accurately. Liaising with several stake holders (including front and back offices, legal, credit risk and collateral management) to understand market trends and to report exposures under different market conditions, investigating and documenting limit excesses in accordance to policy and procedures.

You will also actively participate in the development and improvement of regulatory reporting submission processes and takes ownership over the production of internal reporting for decision making at senior level.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Identifying, assessing, managing and reporting risks taking actions where appropriate in order to remediate or escalate potential issues
  • Creating understanding and stakeholder buy-in to Risk objectives and priorities
  • Liaising with Core Risk team users to prepare functional requirements in new projects, reports, initiatives, and methodologies undertaken by Development Team 
  • Demonstrating good working knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry, of wholesale products and regulations
  • Developing and producing regular exposure reports on product portfolio and limits

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive knowledge of statistical risk measurement techniques (e.g. VaR, PFE, XVAs, Greeks)
  • Advanced expertise in Excel and Python

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Sound knowledge of markets and financial instruments (particularly, derivatives and fixed income, including  valuation models and hedging)
  • Degree in quantitative subject (e.g. mathematics, physics, statistics / equivalent)
  • Recognised professional certification like CFA & FRM
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

This role is based in Milton Keynes and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.
