Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Country Manager with a strong background in e-commerce or retail to drive our business forward. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operational excellence, business development, and P&L management. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead Ochama's growth strategy in the UK and shape the future of e-commerce in the region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to drive growth and achieve market penetration objectives in the UK.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment across all aspects of the business, including marketing, sales, logistics, and customer service.
  • Implement best practices in operational efficiency and process optimization to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to achieve targeted revenue and margin goals.
  • Provide regular reporting and performance updates to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and actionable insights.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field;
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in senior management roles, with a focus on e-commerce, retail, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling e-commerce businesses, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, financial analysis, and budgetary control.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
