Circa £28.500 + Bonus + Benefits

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Weighbridge Operator to join the Operations team on one of the biggest Energy from Waste plants in the UK. Reporting into the Shift Team Leader, The Crane Operator will be responsible for day to day operation of the overhead gantry crane.

As the Weighbridge Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring day-to-day operations of the overhead crane is carried out with the highest regards to health and safety.
• Carry out routine testing of plant equipment.
• Ensure smooth communication when handing over shifts.
• Assisting the operations team with all outage activities
• Other duties are required

Working a rotating shift pattern with a combination of early shifts starting at 6am -2:30pm and late shifts of 2:30pm till 11pm

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Experience working in the waste / EFW sector or other heavy processing environments e.g. quarry, cement works, anaerobic digestion, water treatment etc operating an overhead crane
• Advantageous to has a lifting / slinging qualification but not necessary.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A good attitude and willingness to learn
