Data Analytics Architect - Looker, Contract

66degrees is seeking a senior contractor to engage on a 2+ month remote assignment for 40 hours per week with potential to extend. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work with Clients to enable them on the Looker Platform, teaching them how to construct an analytics ecosystem in Looker from the ground up. 
• Advise clients on how to develop their analytics centers of excellence, defining and designing processes to promote a scalable, governed analytics ecosystem.
• Utilize Looker, a business intelligence platform, to write LookML and design and develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports for end-users.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data analytics solutions to ensure efficient processing and query performance.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of data analytics solutions with existing systems and processes.

• Proven experience as a Data Analytics Architect or a similar role, with a focus on Looker.
• Cloud Experience is required - GCP is ideal.
• Excellent comprehension of Looker’s security capabilities and supporting multiple personas in the platform.
• Proficiency in utilizing Looker’s subscription and alerting functionality. Familiarity with data actions, a plus. 
• Proficiency in Looker for designing interactive dashboards and reports.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques. Experience working with dbt or dataform is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Background in professional services/consulting.

• Experience with multi-instance deployments and scaling data analytics solutions on the cloud.
• Experience with PowerBI is a plus, as this role will involve migrating content from PowerBI to Looker.
