What you'll do:

  • Lead data science initiatives to enhance understanding of key business domains, enabling informed decision-making and development of tailored offerings.
  • Utilize advanced analytics (eg data science and artificial intelligence (AI) models) to streamline processes, optimize operations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Employ data-driven strategies to enhance customer engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty while delivering personalized experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders to align data science priorities with organizational goals, ensuring effective communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of data science initiatives, ensuring they deliver value and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, methodologies, and tools in the data science and AI domain, ensuring the team is leveraging the latest techniques to drive innovation.
  • Maintain an active dialogue with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, sharing insights and recommendations for decision-making, and aligning on data science priorities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, statisticians, and data analysts to develop, implement, and optimize data-driven solutions and models aimed at customer value enhancement.
  • Ensure data governance, compliance with industry regulations, and adherence to data privacy standards.
  • Manage external partnerships and vendor relationships as needed, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data science services and solutions.
  • Cultivate a nurturing and innovative data science community, promoting continuous learning, best practices, and futuristic solution development.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing data science team to deliver impactful data science projects aligned with organizational objectives.

What you'll need:

  • Deep experience in data science or a related field, with experience in a strategic or leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, statistical analysis, and other data science techniques to solve business problems.
  • Proficient in data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable business insights.
  • Experience in the insurance industry and understanding of customer value management , Operations and Pricing is a plus.
