Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for driving efficiency and innovations in a safety-critical engineering environment?

Our client, who are based in the rail sector, are looking for an experienced Depot Manager to oversee one of the largest operational depots, located in East Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of rail transport and foster an inclusive engineering environment.

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of c.150 individuals, overseeing operational activities and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in representing the company, maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a leadership role within a safety-critical engineering maintenance environment. You will have a demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex operational environments, so strong communication skills are a must.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Experienced people leader, especially with leading large teams
• Strong understanding of rolling stock (desirable)
• Strong understanding of general depot operations, associated safety risks & mitigations

This is a hybrid role, with a mixture of onsite and home working. There will also be expectations to travel to other sites. This role comes with excellent benefits such as free first class travel on the company's networks, bonus and final salary pension.
