This is a career defining opportunity to join our central improvement team at our successful Trust.  The Deputy CEO  will support the CEO in taking responsibility for the performance and outcomes of all Schools within the Trust, leading on the strategic direction whilst specialising in the secondary phase and working with the Director of Primary to support outcomes across all phases.

You will have:

  • e xperience of headship and leading a large team
  • an ability in setting and delivering strategy
  • a strong understanding of school improvement and change management
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • strong organisational and planning skills

Our Trust was established in 2017 and we rebranded to become Penrose Learning Trust in 2023. The Trust has had recent growth and continually builds on the excellent work of all the schools and their shared belief that the young people in our care should have access to excellent educational provision. Working within and beyond the Trust, we aim to provide support and drive improvement in all of our schools. Currently comprising four high schools and five primary schools the Trust is growing, through a carefully managed approach.

The central team, based at East Bergholt High School, and is made up of teams in School Improvement, Finance, HR, Estates and IT. These central teams work as a unit to support schools and Headteachers to deliver the best possible education. We pride ourselves on our positive, hardworking ethos and collegiate atmosphere.
