Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Manager in overseeing the operations of our nursery. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the nursery, including, staff supervision, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for children, excellent leadership skills, and a strong knowledge of EYFS.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including plant care, inventory management, and customer service
  • Supervise and train nursery staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Ensure that all plants are properly cared for and maintained to meet quality standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new stock as needed
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction
  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with plant selection and answering any questions or concerns
  • Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in horticulture

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in nursery management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of plant care and horticulture practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
