Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Derivatives Settlements Associate to join their team on a fixed-term contract. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a background in financial services, this could be the perfect role for you!
Here's what you need to know:
- Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
- Duration: Until 28th March 2025
- Location: London/Hybrid (2-3 days in the office, remainder working from home)
- Pay: From 160 per day PAYE, up to 210 per day
As a Derivatives Settlements Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely completion of derivative settlements and associated tasks. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and counterparts to ensure the quality of service and timely resolution of any issues or queries. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to streamline processes and introduce systemic solutions to enhance efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing daily settlement processing for derivatives and
securities in line with policies and procedures
Conducting
pre-settlement reconciliation and payment confirmation to manage
settlement risk
Monitoring and updating settlement calendars,
client/broker details, and static data
Administering key controls
and checks to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk
Managing
relationships with counterparts and internal stakeholders to maintain
a high level of customer service
Collaborating with support teams
to ensure smooth operations and system enhancements
Managing broker
relationships and fees
Contributing to global input and future
state planning
Desired qualifications and skills:
A
background in financial services.
Experience in derivatives and
foreign exchange settlements, payment investigations, SWIFT message
types, and FX banking would be an advantage however full training
would be provided.
Knowledge of Excel for data
manipulation
Excellent communication skills and ability to
collaborate effectively at all levels
Proven ability to meet
deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Experience in User Acceptance
Testing (UAT) would be an advantage
Ability to identify
efficiencies and suggest process improvements
