07.45 - 17.15 Monday - Thursday  4 Day working week!

My client is based on the South Coast in sunny Bognor Regis, and looking to expand its technical team.

They are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to assist in product design and development.

Designing and manufacturing bespoke precision-controlled fridges, freezers and incubators from design concept and prototype stage, through to full production and despatch. They are capable of building products that can reliably maintain any temperature between -50ºC and +85ºC.

The Design Engineer role would suit individuals who have previous product design experience and hands on skills.

Purpose and objectives of the role

Assist in the design and testing of new & existing refrigeration products.
Support production and optimise the design, fabrication, foaming, and general assembly areas and processes for our products.

Main duties and responsibilities

Product Design, Prototyping,Testing and Development.
Producing drawings of sheet metal components, assemblies, wiring diagrams, BOM’s etc
Working with the production team to transition new designs to manufacture
Identifying and assessing new components for suitability
Continual improvement of our products and processes.
Value engineering to reduce costs.
Documenting changes to drawings and products in accordance with our ISO9001 system.

Essential Criteria & Experience

Robust knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD design software (Solidworks).
Previous Product Design Experience Essential
Hands On Practical skills
Ability to work without supervision and deliver projects effectively and on time
