Solidworks Design Engineer Urgently required for a specialist manufacturing business based in Lancing. We are looking for a skilled design engineer to work alongside a senior product design engineer to conduct both modelling and assembly of products in solidworks, creating engineering drawings for production and bills of material (BOMs) to import to the MRP system.

You will also be involved in providing internal/external technical support, product development, product testing, QC procedures, assisting the production team with work schedules & planning and liaising with both clients and suppliers.

An aptitude for engineering and meticulous attention to detail, together with a self-motivated, hard work ethic and time management skills, are essential to succeed in this role.

Essential skills and experience

• Proficient in Solidworks product design - minimum 5 year's experience.
• Experience with using PDM (ideally Solidworks PDM).
• Experience in preparing bills of materials (BoM).
• Must have a meticulous, disciplined approach and work to a high level of accuracy.
• Desirable knowledge and experience
• Experience in sheet metal and fabricated products.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of MRP software.
• 2D CAD.
• A keen interest and aptitude in engineering.
• Electrical experience/knowledge of electronics.
