Overview

LSEG has a vast array of software used within the organisation made up of Open Source, Commercial and internally created. This estate of software contains huge opportunity to discover strategies for reuse, to enable better security controls, and enable developers. This is key to our Developer Experience strategy and beyond.

We are looking for a senior technologist with hands on experience with both writing code and working with industry standard DevOps / DevEx tools to help us realise massive potential gains in our software estate.

You will be facing off to 1,000s of developers and senior technical leadership across the organisation, whilst leading a team of engineers focussed on transforming our approach and giving back value to the engineering and developer community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Define the strategy for software at LSEG
  • Lead, grow and support a team of engineers
  • Effective plan and execute a robust roadmap of outcomes
  • Engage the user community to deliver the best solutions for the company
  • Consider the broader Developer Experience topic in LSEG and contribute to making LSEG as successful as possible
Required Skills
  • Previous hands on development experience
  • Knowledge of Developer Experience topics and strategies
  • DevOps Principles including CI/CD
  • Developer Tools (eg: GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes,...)
  • Working knowledge of binary asset repositories (eg: Artifactory, Nexus or similar)
  • Ability to run a team of engineers and developers
  • Experience designing large scale enterprise systems
Additional Skills
  • PPM Tools (ex: Clarity, JIRA, Asana)
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies
  • General understanding of Databases
  • Previous experience in a Project delivery, Coordination or Support role
  • Previous experience of Software Development, Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, and / or Emerging Technology and Governance.
