DIE CUTTING OPERATOR

COMMUTABLE FROM BIRMINGHAM / WARWICKSHIRE / WORCESTERSHIRE

Salary £28-32K (Depending on Experience) + Company Pension Scheme

Hours of Work - 7am till 4pm (Monday to Friday)

Our client is a manufacturer and supplier of corrugated packaging and tapes/adhesives industry. They serve a diverse range of customers across various sectors. They are dedicated to providing their clients with high quality sustainable packaging solutions.

They are currently looking for an experienced Die Cutting Operator to join the team. You will be operating and setting a Baysek Die Cutter with multiple sets and changes during the day.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure quality product is produced first time and as per customer specification
Read job cards and drawings to ensure the product is made as per customer specification
Carry out QC checks throughout production run to ensure the product conforms to customer specification
Troubleshooting faults during production runs and adjust set accordingly to keep production flowing
Manage and store dies in an orderly fashion
Manage and store tools in a safe place
Manage consumables needed for machine operation to ensure they have sufficient stock of consumables for new orders
Maintain a clean, tidy, organised working area
Recording production data accurately live on the system
Must be familiar with lean, 5S principles
General housekeeping of machine and area
Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance on machine
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production processes and reduce waste using lean manufacturing principles, 5S, six sigmaRequirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine operating within the packaging industry
In-depth knowledge of corrugated cases, die cut tools, substrates, FEFCO styles
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, especially in high-pressure situations
Sound understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance at all times
Exceptional organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, management, customers and suppliers
Must be target driven with the desire to meet and exceed targets
Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine operating (die-cut) within the packaging industry
Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement
