Ruth Miskin Training is a market leading professional development organisation, providing transformative training and support to the many primary schools in the UK and internationally who use Read Write Inc. Phonics and other literacy programmes. We are a friendly, collaborative, and supportive team who are passionate about our mission to help teachers get every child to read and keep them reading.

 

We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and data-led Digital Marketing Coordinator to work with our new Director of Marketing – and our partner Oxford University Press – to build our marketing operation. If you have proven digital marketing skills along with being highly organised, solution-focused and with excellent written and verbal communication skills, we'd like to hear from you.

 

The team is based at our office near Liverpool Street, London. We are currently working to a hybrid model whereby we are based in the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays and the remaining days we work remotely from home. For more information about Ruth Miskin Training, go to .


Role purpose

Implement digital campaigns to market our Read Write Inc. training to UK primary schools. The focus is on building brand awareness, engagement, conversion, usage and retention of our training packages, and supporting best practice implementation of Read Write Inc. to get all children reading. The role includes building content, deploying across digital channels, evaluating success, and iterating campaigns.

Overarching campaign delivery

  • Work with the Director of Marketing and key stakeholders across the business to deliver the campaign plans to budget and schedule, with an eye on brand consistency.
  • Meet established campaign and channel KPIs.
  • Set up and track UTMs, monitor campaign analytics, implement iterations, and report back to the business on the success of campaigns.

Content creation and management

  • Create content using Canva for use across our digital channels, following a brief.
  • Project manage the design of more complex projects, managing proof stages.
  • Proof-read and design case studies and keep them up to date once written by the Director of Marketing, plus provide administrative support on photos, permissions, and social media handles.
  • Keep spreadsheet of all marketing films and content on RMT channels.
  • Monitor evaluations after trainings and promote as useful.
  • Ensure all images from schools have permission to publish.

Social media

  • Create and schedule new organic content following best practice and our content pillars, reposting successful content. Including weekly posts for our regional training and our Windows and Mirrors booklist.
  • Optimise YouTube content, uploading films and creating playlists.
  • Engage with content from key customers and stakeholders.
  • Implement social advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor market trends and competition – reporting back to the business.
  • Evaluate analytics.

Web management

  • Build, update, edit, and test webpages.
  • Upload and maintain key content from training clips to case studies and Ofsted reports – campaign-led and evergreen.
  • Follow SEO guidelines, including keyword research, to make site improvements.
  • Work with the tech team to maintain site health through regular audits.
  • Ensure key stories are promoted on the Online Subscription homepage.
  • Set up and market free taster events via our events booking system.
  • Evaluate analytics.

Email marketing and automation

  • Maintain audience lists within our EMS.
  • Set up segmented ecampaigns and newsletters within our templates, datamine as needed, organise proofing, and deploy.
  • Evaluate analytics.

Essential qualities

  • Highly organised, efficient scheduler.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise based on urgency and importance.
  • Clear communicator and accurate writer.
  • A desire to continually learn and apply knowledge.
  • A team player who is willing to step in to help when needed.
  • A commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
  • Understanding of GDPR and customer data management.
  • Data-led, ideally with experience of Google Analytics.
  • Understanding of SEO and use of keyword research to support the drive to improve leads and traffic.
  • Experience of implementing email campaigns.
  • Confident with WordPress or other CMS to build and edit web pages.
  • Experience of implementing organic and paid for social media campaigns.
  • Ability to create marketing content in Canva or similar following a brief – Photoshop and Media Studio an advantage.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will be expected to comply with any reasonable request from the Director of Marketing to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description. This job description may be amended at any time following discussion between the Digital Marketing Coordinator and Director of Marketing (or other member of the senior management team). 


Additional details:


  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependant on experience) 
  • Type: Permanent, full time (Monday to Friday) 
  • Hours of work: 08:30-17:00 (1 hr for lunch)
  • Place of work: London Head Office, Liverpool Street, E1 (Currently working to a hybrid model of 2 days in the Head Office and 3 days from home. You must have high speed internet connection and a good work station to work from home.)
