Full Job Description
This position directs and manages the Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement. The incumbent directs, develops, and cultivates programs and services to encourage cross-cultural interactions; creates initiatives to promote academic and personal growth of diverse student populations; establishes cultural training strategies; and provides guidance and supervision to staff.
• Supports initiatives from the Pathways to Equity
institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic plan.
•
Develops programs contributing to institutional recruitment and
retention efforts.
• Creates multicultural awareness by
teaching skills to promote education across cultures.
• Assists
in developing cultural competency training efforts for faculty, staff,
and students.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with
faculty, alumni, community, and stakeholders to engage departments and
support student services and programs.
• Provides advisory
support to student organizations.
• Provides students with an
understanding of culture, heritage, and identity.
• Provides
strategic oversight and support for the planning of Center for
Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement programming and events.
• Prepares and manages departmental budget.
•
Supervises and provides guidance to staff, graduate assistants, and
student assistants.
• Creates initiatives to enhance the
quantity and quality of programming and leadership efforts.
•
Analyzes data and prepares annual assessment reports.
•
Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.
