We are seeking a seasoned Director of IT Security who brings a strategic vision and hands-on operational skills in IT security. This role demands a professional adept in managing IT system security, compliance with critical standards like SOC2 and ISO 27001, and addressing system vulnerabilities effectively. The ideal candidate will take both a strategic and tactical approach to leading security projects which will include collaborating with various departments and serving as a strategic advisor, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure and navigating complex security challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

System Vulnerability Management

Lead the charge in identifying and mitigating system vulnerabilities. This involves continuous monitoring of our IT landscape, implementing effective patches, and configuring systems to enhance their security posture against evolving threats. Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise cybersecurity and IT risk management program.

Compliance and Standards Adherence

Ensure our international IT operations are in strict adherence to SOC2 and GDPR compliance. Work in collaboration with the Compliance, Legal, and HR departments to develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines that uphold these standards across all IT functions.

Audit Coordination and Continuous Improvement

Coordinate with third-party auditors to conduct thorough security assessments. Take the lead in interpreting audit findings and spearheading the implementation of improvements, thereby enhancing our security measures and practices continuously.

CISO Role and Security Architecture Consultation

Function as the Chief Information Security Officer, offering strategic guidance on the security architecture of our internal systems, cloud hosting, and customer SaaS environments. This role entails not just compliance adherence but also influencing the direction of our security practices and architecture.

In case of a breach, be the key point of contact and take on responsibility for mitigation, recovery, and forensics efforts. Ensure response is documented and in compliance with established policies and procedures.

Project Leadership and Collaborative Execution

Take on a leadership role in guiding and executing significant security projects, collaborating effectively with IT and other departments. This responsibility involves coordinating efforts, ensuring project goals are met, and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.

Support Sales Ops

Develop a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings and hosting services. Provide essential support to sales teams by addressing customer inquiries related to security, ensuring they are well-informed and confident in our security measures.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in IT security, with a strong balance of strategic and operational skills.
• Expert knowledge of SOC2, ISO 27001 or NIST/CMMC compliance standards.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA privacy regulations.
• Expertise in identifying and mitigating system vulnerabilities.
• Experience in working with third-party auditors and implementing security improvements.
• Communication skills, capable of articulating complex security concepts clearly.
• A strategic thinker with a practical approach to security challenges.
• CISSP certification. IAPP certifications are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field a plus.
