Full Job Description

Are you a Director working in professional services specifically construction - or ready to move from AD to Director in the same sector because you're doing the job but don't have the title due to someone needing to leave? Wouldn't be it great if you could work somewhere where your career is important, you have a development plan that the MD works with you on to get you where you need to be.

Not only will you be bringing your experience of working directly with clients and bringing them on, but you'll also be helping shape the direction the business goes in. The MD is not the type of person who wants to make the decisions for everyone, so it's very much an 'our business' attitude, not a 'my business' attitude.

You'll be rewarded greatly to be in this position, not only with a great working environment but the people are by far the most supportive. What else?

  • Hybrid working- 3 days a week in the office 2 days from home
  • Managing a team of 3 - AD and 2 PM's.
  • A career plan and areas you require support, the MD will support you in these areas.
  • Clear communication - team meetings where there is total transparency of projects coming in, where the business is financially and how you're making an impact on this in a positive way.

This company really support their clients and work closely with them. They don't do the bare minimum, they go above and beyond, which is why they have won many projects and have many in the pipeline. They are very busy.

No doubt you'll know as a Director the expectations and technical knowledge required. But here is what you'd be responsible for:

  • Coming up with plans and handling strategies to achieve our business goals
  • Always on the lookout for new opportunities to grow our business unit and make things happen.
  • Making sure projects are run smoothly
  • Negotiating fees and charges for potential services.
  • Making sure appointments and service scopes are agreed upon before kicking off. •
  • Checking in monthly to ensure we're staying true to our service agreements.
  • Keeping our customer relationships strong, handling any complaints that come our way.
  • Making sure we have the right resources for our projects and sorting out any conflicts.
  • Leading and managing teams, collaborating with Associate Directors to keep things running smoothly.

Before you hit apply you must:

  • Be a UK resident.
  • Have experience working in a professional services environment within consultancy - as a Project Manager where you're bringing in new clients, and managing them and a team. Or you might be an AD PM doing the above but without the title.
  • Must be chartered - MRICS etc.
