Full Job Description

Working for a specialist charitable trust that provides commercial services in a niche market, the Director of Digital Transformation / Transformation Program Manager role involves developing and delivering a technology transformation strategy to modernise every aspect of their business.

The have 350 UK employees and provide field-based services across the whole of the UK using very fragmented technology and manual processes. This role involves analysing what they do & how they do before developing a plan to transform the business, and then leading the transformation.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in their London offices, and occasional UK wide travel (mostly in the South).

The Director of Digital Transformation / Transformation Program Manager will:

• programmes to implement transformational change, building new systems and processes that will drive efficiency and productivity
• a digital and innovation strategy, in line with the business objectives
• digital services, providing a united and cohesive digital environment for staff, clients and external stakeholders
• and foster digital innovation and digital leadership, helping to lead the way in their sector
• a diverse group of teams around a digital strategy
• and unify diverse digital and tech systems present, understanding and mitigating risks
• a part of the Executive Team and a strong voice advocating innovation and change
• Trustees, managers and colleagues across the organisation on the financial impact and viability of future investments, providing support in the development of business cases
• transformation of technology and develop a programme for effective delivery and roll out
• a robust suite of business systems software that underpin commercial operations and business management
• an understanding of AI and the opportunities and possibilities the use of this technology may bring to an organisation
• platforms for making our data open and accessible both internally and externally in line with charitable aims

Candidates for the Director of Digital Transformation / Transformation Program Manager must have

• experience leading technology transformation for a legacy business, ideally for a mid-size or smaller organisation.
• will ideally have worked in one of the following sectors - charities, local or central government, health services, trade unions, industry bodies, care sector, surveying, education and construction, or similar.
• experience of change management and working with a diverse range of stakeholders in a diverse environment
• communication skills, comfort presenting at Exec level and working with field based staff
