Job Title:                Driver / Valeter - Chaffeur
Location:                Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
Compensation: £23,805.60 + up to £3000 in allowances

The role
As a Driver/Valeter you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We wish to appoint a  Driver / Valeter - Chauffeur to deliver and collect passengers and freight to and from various destinations UK wide.

Day to day, you’ll undertake driving duties such as: Delivery of Freight, Chauffeur Tasks and other General Driving tasks as detailed, as well as:

  • Correct observation of all EU Drivers Hours Regulations (EU Regulation 561)
  • Check and report on all defects on all Fleet Vehicles
  • Correct completion and use of Tachographs as required.
  • Carry out Daily Inspections, vehicle Valeting tasks and day to day husbandry of the Transport Section
  • You will be responsible for reporting all accidents, injuries, near-miss and dangerous occurrences promptly to Line Management
  • Carry out any reasonable request with your capability as directed by your Line Manager

 
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Wyton.

Essential experience of the Driver / Valeter - Chauffeur:

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels – Verbal and written.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Can work on his/her own initiative.
  • Safe and considerate driving skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Good knowledge of the UK – especially main airports

Qualifications for the Driver / Valeter - Chauffeur:

  • Cat D Licence
  • Driver CPC – Certificate of Professional Competency

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
