Full Job Description

Early Years Practitioner - Up to £14.50ph (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)

Due to a recent expansion we are currently recruiting for several vacancies at our stunning, outstanding rated, award winning children’s day nursery and preschool in Godalming, Surrey in the town centre and a very short walk from the station.

4 or 5 day working week available. Part time hours can also be considered.

Main responsibilities of the Nursery Assistant / Early Years Practitioner:

  • Provide a positive and happy learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the children’s needs.
  • Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
  • Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare.

The ideal candidate will;

  • Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
  • Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
  • Be qualified to Level 2, 3 or equivalent in childcare (desirable and required for Senior Nursery Practitioner roles and above)
  • Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS – Early Years Foundation Stages (desirable)
