JP Medicals Recruitment, a leading NHS healthcare recruitment agency is currently recruiting a dedicated Echo Physiologist   HCPC registration to work in regular and flexible shifts at  Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust ,  Woolwich, London  .

Triage and screen inpatient and outpatient echo referrals, liaising with referrers and screening out inappropriate requests in order to maximise the capacity of the service and provide a timely service for patients with the greatest clinical needs.

Performing resting ECGs, Holter fitting, Holter analysis, physiology-led ETT and invasive technical expertise will be expected in the catheter.

Contribute to educational needs of the cardiology team, delivering practical and theoretical training and signing off of PTPs, cardiac STP program, ETP program and registrars.

Perform and supervise the recording of electrocardiograms for both adult and paediatric patients. This may include the notification to medical staff of any medically urgent results and to fit & remove Ambulatory Holter monitoring, BP and PADs.

Provide technical support during routine cardiac catheterization. This would include performing left heart catheters, performing right heart catheters, perform blood gas analysis as required for RHC, elective PCI & complex cases such as IVUS / OCT, Rotablations and assist senior physiologist with BAV procedures.

Fit & remove Ambulatory Holter monitoring, BP and PADs. This will include the explanation of the use and care of the equipment to the patients, and dealing with any queries that this may raise, this includes the accurate reporting of urgent results to medical teams as appropriate.
