Salary: 34,500 - 51,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Educate and Inspire: Deliver engaging and informative lessons in economics, tailored to meet the needs and interests of students.
• Curriculum Development: Assist in the planning and development of lesson plans, ensuring they align with curriculum guidelines and learning outcomes.
• Promote Learning: Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student engagement and enthusiasm for learning economics.
• Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress through both formal and informal methods, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Behaviour and Classroom Management: Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a focused and orderly learning environment.
• Academic Support: Provide additional support to students who require help in overcoming barriers to learning in economics.

Requirements:

• Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge of economic theories, principles, and applications with the ability to convey complex concepts to students in an understandable way.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching economics, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Qualifications: Teaching Qualification in Economics (QTS).
• Passion for Education: Empathetic, patient, and passionate about educating young people and fostering their development.
