We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Team Lead to join an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / manufacturing business that are in a position of sustained growth.

As an Electrical Design Team Lead you will manage a small team and cable/harness work packages to deliver design solutions for the creation of bespoke cable designs. Working closely with various stakeholders, you will use customer, environmental and technical requirements to define manufacturable solutions delivered on time, on cost and on quality.

You will make sure the workload is planned, budgeted correctly and that design reviews and documentation are held/created on time with the appropriate audience. You will be working with multiple departments and external suppliers to plan, implement and improve solutions whilst dealing with opportunities and challenges as they arise.

Skills Required :

• Experience leading a small team is advantageous, but not mandatory
• Experience managing work packages, with the ability to balance cost, quality, and schedule; simultaneously giving due consideration to Design for Manufacture and Design for Test
• Experience of Interconnect/Cable/Harness design with an appreciation of Interconnect manufacturing processes
• Experience of stakeholder management, review of requirements, providing technical guidance and Supplier assessment
• A track record of on-time delivery along with good verbal and written communication skills

You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to either be a UK Citizen or a UK Dual Citizen. Some restrictions may apply.
