We are recruiting for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our busy engineering function that services an expanding FMCG company in Birminham.

• Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Production Support)
• Location: Birmingham
• Salary: 42,000 - 48,000
• Working Hours: 3 shift 6-2, 2-10, 10-6

As a Maintenance Engineer your role will involve:

• You will be looking after planned maintenance, breakdowns & changeovers on key production equipment. As well as supporting the Leadership team by leading & participating in improvements for reliability and production capacity utilising continuous improvement techniques.

• Execute work is carried out to the highest possible standards in a clean and orderly manner across the whole of the site
• Carry out routine repairs as required within the remit of your role or escalate appropriately as required
• Define and improve technical changeovers using lean techniques (i.e. SMED)
• Provide diagnostic assistance to technical team members

To be successful in this role the candidate will be:

• Apprentice trained / NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering
• Worked within a production / manufacturing business previously
• You will have the ability to work under pressure often un-supervised
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
• A flexible and proactive approach to work
