What will you be doing? 

As an Electromagnetics CAE Engineer , you will join the Whitley   team to support our activities within the Automotive  sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Conducting electromagnetic simulations using specialized CAE software to analyse and optimize vehicle components and systems for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI).
• Collaborating with testing teams to plan and execute EMC/EMI tests on vehicle prototypes and components. Analysing test results to identify potential issues and proposing design improvements.
• Developing strategies to mitigate RF interference issues within vehicle systems, ensuring that electronic components function properly in the presence of electromagnetic fields generated by other vehicle systems or external sources.
• Working closely with component design teams to optimize the electromagnetic performance of various vehicle components, such as wiring harnesses, sensors, and electronic control units (ECUs), to meet regulatory requirements and performance targets.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in electromagnetics analysis and simulation using CAE software and Matlab is essential.
• Experience with Ansys MotorCAD, Altair Flux, CATIA and jira is preferred
