Electronic Design Engineer
£40,000 - £55,000

Cubiq Recruitment are currently looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join one of our clients who are based in Birmingham. The company in question are looking for somebody with a strong background in Electronics Engineering and a bias towards analogue and microcontroller integration, to be a voice in their team for new and ongoing projects for hazardous conditions.     In this role your core responsibilities will be taking new and existing products through the entire lifecycle process, from creation all the way through to final product testing and manufacture.   
 
Key Responsibilities:
  •  3 years commercial design experience.
  • Active engagement in a culture of continuous improvement, refining and developing procedures and processes to produce a high-quality product that meets cost and time-to-market goals.
  • New product design and development, as well as product line maintenance.
  • In charge of gathering, specifying, and monitoring design requirements. Conduct and/or supervise verification and validation of new product designs to verify compliance with these standards.
  • Design and develop new products in compliance with agreed-upon design criteria, timelines, and cost targets, while maintaining a high level of product quality and dependability.
  • In charge of ensuring that best practises for Design to Cost, Design for Manufacture, and Design for Test are followed.
  • Accountable for exhibiting exceptional problem-solving abilities and a track record of inspiring others to do the same.
  • The ability to develop unambiguous process and product documentation.
  • Ensuring the use of best practises in specification, design, testing, and validation.
  • Contribution to the development of product roadmaps.
  • Staying updated with industry changes and keeping ties with suppliers to make the greatest use of developing technologies.
  • Assist with project concept/bids phase evaluation in terms of task identification/estimation.
  • Establishing and sustaining critical stakeholder relationships with suppliers, customers, and other departments.
Key Skills
  • PCB Design & Layout
  • Digital & Analogue Circuit Design
  • Writing product documentation would be advantageous.
  • DFT and DFM would be advantageous.
  • Good communication skills to key stakeholders
  • Creative ability
Desirables skills: 
  • CCTV experience
  • Six Sigma
Qualifications
Experience Required
  • Batchelor degree in Electronic Design Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Development of analog based electronic products.
  • Industry experience with Electronic Design Engineering
