Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic - Walk in Centre

- Position: Emergency Nurse Practitioner
- Salary: £51,500 - £57,800 per annum ( Band 7 ) + EXCELLENT BENEFITS

About the service:
We are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting
opportunity for an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner /
Paramedic to work for a highly reputable walk-in centre on the
outskirts of Kensington. The service is ideally situated within easy
reach of Kensington, Central London and Wembley and within easy reach
of public transport links. This is a great opportunity for a motivated
Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic to work in a varied role
caring for patients attending the walk-in centre with a variety of
injuries and undifferentiated health problems. The role is fast paced,
no two days are the same, and will be working as part of a friendly
and supportive team. The team are passionate about the care that they
provide, and they are looking for a like-minded Emergency Nurse
Practitioner / Paramedic to join them on a permanent basis.
About the role:
You will be working as
an Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic and will be responsible
for:
- Autonomously assess, manage and treat patients
- Provide treatment to patients with a range of illnesses and injuries
- Prescribe medication as an independent non- medical prescriber or using PGDs
- Assess and treat patients aged 2 and above
- Communicate highly complex and sensitive information to patients, carers, and other staff
- To lead, motivate and support team members in the facilitation of professional and clinical development
Who we're looking for;
All applicants for the role of Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic must have the following;
- Registered Nurse and valid NMC pin or Paramedic with HCPC registration- with no restrictions
- Full eligibility to live/ work in the UK
- Evidence of continuing professional education and training at Masters level or completed level 7 module in advanced practice
- At least 2 years UK experience in a similar setting ( emergency care, autonomously within a GP surgery)
- Independent Prescriber (or on a pathway to complete)
- Experience of caring for patients aged 2 and above
- Paediatric Nurse Practitioner qualification desirable
- Competent in physical examination of patients of all ages.
- Ability to prioritise workload

Person Specification: All applicants for the
role of Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic
must have a valid NMC nursing pin or HCPC registration and
must have full eligibility to live and work in the UK. At least 2
years experience in a similar setting and evidence of continuing
professional education and training at Masters level is essential for
this position.
