Full Job Description

Finegreen are currently supporting a large NHS organisation in the appointment of an Employee Relations professional to be responsible for the delivery of employee relations processes, providing guidance to managers and employees, working to deliver and ensure appropriate responses to any related employment issues that arise

This role will interview and start ASAP under the AfC NHSI Agency Capped rates and will be renumerated at band 8a and will be for c3 months. 


Job Purpose:
The postholder must adopt a Just Culture approach to employee relations matters, ensuring all investigation processes are constructive rather than destructive. This means looking first at what was responsible for an issue or situation before looking at who was responsible.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide specialist advice, guidance and counsel to managers, supervisors and HR colleagues on all employee relations issues, policy interpretation and questions.
  • Responding to employee issues and questions, providing feedback to managers to ensure appropriate action is taken where necessary.
  • Take the lead on the updating of assigned HR policies to ensure compliance with best practice and any national guidelines as well as statutory changes.
  • Work in collaboration with other HR colleagues, managers and employees, provide relevant ER expertise in the execution of any initiatives or projects to which the post holder is assigned.


The ideal candidate will be / have:

  • Fully CIPD qualified or working towards its completion.
  • Confident in dealing with senior members of staff, utilising strong influencing skills at a senior level.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Specialist knowledge of employee relations to standard for providing advice in employee relations cases.
