Energy Consulting Manager

Salary: Competitive salary plus company car or car allowance, annual performance bonus, private medical and pension

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: UK home-based with national travel

What you'll be doing;

  • Developing Building Energy Services low carbon solutions to meet customer requirements for sustainability, resilience, innovation, performance and optimised life cycle cost.
  • Designing decarbonisation solutions across our customers and leading the development and promotion of new innovative and commercially attractive service offerings to support growth.
  • Leading a team of energy design engineers and consultants to support business development, design and implementation of low carbon building solutions, energy audits, decarbonisation strategies and heat decarbonisation plans.
  • Be responsible for the development of a 3m revenue pipeline for the team and appropriately develop the team to deliver this pipeline.
  • Providing leadership, business strategy and overall management of the energy consultants and its functions and activities.
  • Coordinating bid development activities that focus on the delivery of low carbon strategies, building energy solutions and other consultancy type outputs.
  • Leading and attending key client meetings to co-design energy solutions in line with their sustainability, resilience, performance and life cycle drivers.
  • Preparing project briefs and seeking internal approval, considering capex, programme, resource, procurement strategy, risks identification and mitigation.
  • Managing existing sub-contractors and identifying new sub-contractors ensuring they represent Veolia positively and provide compliant and high-quality customer service.



What we're looking for;

  • A qualified engineer with robust experience of the energy industry.
  • Good understanding of Low Carbon Building Energy Solutions.
  • Ability to articulate complex design concepts to non-technical audience.
  • Experienced Project Manager with excellent resource planning skills and capability of leading the development and negotiation of contract terms.
  • Commercially astute with experience of costing models.
  • A creative, solution oriented thinker with Technical Optioneering experience in a client facing capacity.
  • Proficient with Building energy modelling tools such as EnergyPro.
  • Proficient with Microsoft/Google spreadsheets, documents, Gantt charts, presentations
  • A capable relationship builder with good meeting facilitation techniques.
  • Ability to quickly identify technological solutions and commercial approaches to assist in the development of industrial solutions.
