A 12 month fixed term contract, the Engineering Project Manager will be a key figure in the engineering and applications leadership of this aerospace organisation. The role will oversee new and existing product development projects leading a team of 4.

Description

Reporting into the Head of NPD, as Engineering Project Manager you will lead a team of 4 engineers working closely with the customer base to deliver new and existing product develop projects.

Day to day responsibility will include:

• Project / programme management.
• Leadership and development of the team.
• Collaborating with other departments to drive innovation.
• Some aspects of hands on design.
• Building relationships with a broad range of customers.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team.

Profile

The successful Engineering Project Manager should have:

• Relevant educational qualifications in a mechanical engineering field.
• Demonstrable experience of product development in aerospace, automotive or other safety critical industries.
• Strong design engineering experience ideally with a working knowledge at Catia.
• Proficient in project management and team leadership.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with various customers.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to innovation.

Job Offer

An initial 12 month contract, our client is open to receiving both PAYE and FTC applications. The salary / rate would be DOE and comes with a wider package.
The role will be office based for 4 days with an option to work from home 1 day a week.
