Job Opportunity: English Teaching Position at Secondary School in Salisbury

Are you passionate about English education? Join our team at a reputable secondary school in Salisbury starting in September 2024! We are seeking a qualified English teacher to support students in Key Stage 3 and 4, with a focus on delivering engaging lessons and fostering positive learning environments.

Position: English Teacher (Qualified)

Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire

Start Date: September 2024

Contract: Fixed-term, one-year contract until July 2025

Hours: 08:00 – 16:00

Pay: Competitive salary ranging from £150.86 - £230 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:

As an English teacher, you will be responsible for teaching all aspects of the English curriculum, including planning and marking. We are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom management skills, and a positive approach to teaching and building relationships with students. This role is suitable for experienced English teachers seeking a long-term position or Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to join a supportive department. The role will be on a long term contract starting from September 2024 until July 2025. The School will consider making the role permanent for the right person.

The School is a mixed secondary school located in Salisbury, Wiltshire, with approximately 800 students aged 11 to 16. We pride ourselves on our commitment to academic excellence and supportive learning environments. In our last GCSE results, 72% of students achieved a level 4 and above in English.
