Role description
We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to start a career in Financial Services by joining the high-performing Aviation Client Manager team. The team works within a highly skilled Practice team that specialises in managing a portfolio of global Aviation & Aerospace clients.
A
Client Manager (CM) is charged with providing support to both the
Client Executive (CE) and Broker in the management of the placement
process for new business and business renewals.
The Aviation
Client Manager works to support Practice colleagues in both Norwich &
London locations and our Operations colleagues in Norwich & India to
provide an excellent and compliant client experience.
You
will be aligned with one Aviation Product Line Client Manager sub-team
but support the wider CM team.
If made Permanent, we will fund and support our new Client Manager to complete the Certificate in Insurance (CertCII) qualification and further study to Diploma and Advance Diploma if desired.
Duties will include:
- Work with CE, Broker and Advisory teams to support client retention and new business production.
- Build effective relationships with our Operations colleagues (Placement Services (PS) - invoicing & submissions, Fiduciary - accounts and Claims)
- Manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards and integrity of service to Marsh local & global offices and external clients.
- Arrange Client Onboarding activities* to ensure due diligence.
- Prepare Contract documentation* to support the placing of insurance contracts using the appropriate systems.
- Conduct Quality Checking* at various key stages of both Renewal and New Business journeys, ensuring clean and timely hand over to the next step.
- Resolve and manage Queries* from CEs, PS, Fiduciary and Underwriters to ensure clarity to all and allow prompt and correct invoicing for and settlement of payments to/from Clients, Underwriters and Third Parties.
- Ensure procedural compliance* and follow, as well as promote, Best Practice alongside Marsh's Client First Principles*.
- Assist with collating and reviewing data* with a focus on maintaining (and aiming for continuous improvement of) various client services and legal Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements.
- Have a willingness to share ideas, knowledge and experiences with your team.
- Be willing to help other members of the team.

Skills required for the role:
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and general administrative & organisational skills
- An interest in and enjoyment of solving problems and developing effective processes
- Strong numeracy skills
- Engaged in your own learning & development and in growing professionally
- Good IT skills with confidence to develop skills in new systems and applications quickly
- Keen interest to work in a diverse and collaborative environment
- Level 3 qualifications (A-Level) or Level 2 qualifications (GCSE A*-C) with work experience
