Full Job Description

Dandara is currently recruiting for an Estimating Management Trainee to join our Northern Home Counties region head office, based in Milton Keynes.

About the role

This role is ideal for school/college leavers looking to further their education, alongside gaining first hand industry experience. Dandara will be funding the external qualifications, so you don't have to worry about the financial worries that come with student loans or tuition fees. Dandara will fund external qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Estimating or a relevant field, providing the Estimating Management Trainee with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their role.

What you will do:

  • Offer innovative ideas to the wider commercial team, demonstrating your capabilities while being supported by our training programme along with a professional qualification through a higher-level apprenticeship.
  • Interact with our key decision makers and your peers, providing you with a sound knowledge of our housebuilding process.
  • Support the estimating team in the preparation of construction budgets, direct labour pricing calculations and monthly cost plan status reports.
  • Support with site visits and inspections
  • Support with value engineering exercises during design development, identifying and costing all abnormal elements and risks.
  • Adopt, maintain, and ensure compliance with Dandara Management System processes and documentation.
  • Any other ad-hoc duty that will support you in gaining on-the-job experience for your studies.

What you will have:

Essential

  • Have at least 3 GCSE’s Grade A*- C (9-4) Including Math’s and English, alongside two A-Levels (160 UCAS Points).
  • A full UK driving license
  • Great communication, problem solving and organisation skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to be enthusiastic, proactive and a team player
