Estimator/QS

We are a rapidly expanding fit out business based in Chesterfield who look to understand our clients requirements and tailor a solution to suit their budget and time frame, through an innovative design, whilst incorporating a good knowledge & consideration

Due to growth, we are looking for an estimator who can also handle some surveying duties, or alternatively a quantity surveyor who is willing to take on estimating responsibilities, joining the team based at our head office in Chesterfield.

The role..

• Production of the estimate, working closely with internal BD & design team to ensure its accuracy, and interpretation are understood and appropriately considered in developing the bid solution.
• Analysis and review of all quotations, technical compliance, and completeness.
• Identification/assessment/elimination of risks.
• Identification and maximisation of commercial opportunities within tender submissions
• Working with the Business Development, Design and Operational teams in the preparation of Contractor’s Proposals documents, holding bid meetings and reviews
• Working with a Design team to evaluate and challenge tendered solutions
• Working with the Operational team to ensure subcontract costs are aligned to the preliminaries / programme requirements.
• Preparing and presenting at Tender Settlement meetings
• Handle quantity surveying duties as required.
• Maintaining the company’s good name and reputation amongst Clients, Consultants and Subcontractors.
