At the forefront of modern farming and food production, G’s is one of the largest fresh produce providers in the UK, producing over one billion packs of healthy products a per year.

We are seeking an Ethical Supply Chain Coordinator to work within our ethical compliance team to coordinate our supply chain due diligence.
This role is key in understanding not only the process and organisation of the supply chain but also the ‘Why.’

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of responsible and ethical sourcing policies and implementation of supply chain strategies (for both new and existing suppliers).
  • Effectively communicates with customers and suppliers, build sustainable relationships that support performance improvements, mitigates against risk and promotes opportunities.
  • Liaise with internal teams, Procurement, Technical and Commercial, to ensure ethical compliance is achieved and in line with customer requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address supply chain issues, escalating your concerns in a timely manner.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensure they understand and meet the required ethical standards.
  • Monitor suppliers to ensure the standards are kept up to date and highlight where there maybe issues.
  • Process supply chain and social compliance data such as audit results and supply chain mapping using SEDEX (and a number of other platforms) to monitor supplier performance.
  • Provide assistance and respond to queries relating to supply chain compliance, audits and database/platform issues.
  • Develop reporting templates and systems, including annual reports, seasonal updates, board reports, monitoring against KPI’s, supplier compliance and ethical auditing integrity outcomes.

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience in ethical supply chain programmes, SEDEX and retailer data bases, gained within a food production industry would be advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of and experience in due diligence requirements in relation to reputational and ethical integrity.
  • Proven analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, whilst continuing to deliver accuracy, consistency, in a timely manner.
  • Continuously keeping knowledge up to date on ethical supply chain developments
  • Knowledge and experience of Data management and IT skills including Excel.
