Description

Updraft is an award winning, FCA-authorised, high-growth fintech based in London. Our vision is to revolutionise the way people spend and think about money, by automating the day to day decisions involved in managing money and mainstream borrowings like credit cards, overdrafts and other loans.

We are building a complete personal financial service on mobile that helps people get control of their money;

  • a 360 degree spending view across all your financial accounts (using Open banking).
  • A free credit report with tips and guidance to help improve your credit score.
  • Personalised financial planning using a proprietary mix of automated algorithms and manual advice.
  • Intelligent lending products to help reduce cost of credit.
  • ....and that's just the beginning. We have big plans to do much more

As our Office Manager and Executive Assistant, you'll support the CEO. This is a highly visible role liaising with all of our internal team as well as third parties.

Whilst this role offers some flexibility to work remotely, we will expect this person to come in to our offices in Central London 3 days a week to undertake onsite duties and support in-person meetings

This exciting role has real opportunity to grow, with the expectation that this role could expand to lead a team of EAs as the company grows

What you'll be doing

  • Work closely with the CEO and other senior managers to understand their top priorities to help manage their time effectively
  • Diary and meeting management for our senior management team, liaising with our team directly and externally with other parties, operating across multiple time zones
  • Detailed minute taking for meetings, and following up actions with members of the Updraft Exco and Leadership team
  • Document or email preparation on behalf of the senior management team e.g. drafting responses to emails, drafting internal memos for the wider team
  • Supporting the Chief of Staff with onboarding new team members, including ordering new IT equipment, setting them up with training courses, and tracking our onboarding processes
  • Ensuring our London office is fit for purpose (mail sorted, confidential documents shredded)
  • Dealing with incoming post, redirecting it to the appropriate teams
  • Helping to organise team offsite days ( 4 x a year)
  • There may also be some facilitating of travel arrangements

Requirements
  • Must have experience as an EA within a professional services company - at a start-up is a plus
  • First class written English skills
  • Proven ability to quickly build relationships with other people via email (seeing as most of our team works remotely at least part of the time)
  • Working proficiency with the Google product suite, including GMail, Calendar, GDrive, GSlides and GSheets (or the MS Office equivalents).
  • Have worked with video conferencing tech such as Teams and Zoom
  • Very organised to keep on top of multiple moving workstreams, and adapt what you are working on when priorities change
  • What we’re doing here at Updraft excites you!

Benefits

As an early stage employee in a fast moving startup you have the opportunity to shape the structure of the organisation, team and our business.

We support remote working, but as mentioned above, this role will require someone who can come in to our central London offices at least once a week.

We provide a workplace pension scheme and we also support flexible working.

We welcome applications from all and are fully committed to diversity and equality as an equal opportunities employer.

Further enquires and applications (CV and covering letter) should be sent to .
