Description

This is a unique opportunity for a bilingual Executive Assistant (EA) to work with a mission-driven company focused on a sustainable future. Our preference is for the successful candidate to come to the Bristol office every day but we are open to combine some remote work as needed.

About Cookpad

Cookpad is dedicated to shaping the future of home cooking and food as a pillar for a sustainable future. Design and user experience are at the heart of our organisation.

Our mission at Cookpad is to make everyday cooking fun. Not just because we like food but because we believe that cooking is key to a happier and healthier life for people, communities and the planet.

Cookpad is a tech company building a community platform that enables people to share recipe ideas and cooking tips. It’s a global platform and over 10 million recipes have been created by people in more than 70 countries. How we got started.

And we have been developing new products and recently selected one idea to test more broadly, including international expansion. The new product’s focus is on helping people to learn to cook in an innovative way. It is the very early stage of product development, but we are already seeing customer value through their experience and are confident about its potential.

Requirements

You will have the experience, confidence and pragmatism to support the Executives, including the Cookpad founder, and undertake corporate projects. Quite simply you get things done and have the patience and resilience to respond to changing priorities with professionalism and good humour. You take ownership and care deeply about what you do and the difference you make.

Fluency in Japanese and English is essential.

Your impact will be shaped by the following:

  • More than 3 years of experience in a professional, corporate environment supporting senior professionals
  • Seamless, smooth administration to understand the founder's tasks, prioritize them yourself, and keep the founder's time focused at all times
  • Natural confidence to work autonomously without the need for a large team to deliver
  • A combination of excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with a flexible working approach
  • Applying experience and logic to problem-solving
  • Confidentiality and discretion when handling highly confidential information concerning the company and personal matters
  • Applying skills across the broader corporate function
  • Persistence and flexibility to work beyond regular working hours to get things done
  • Love great food and eating, and interest in cooking

Cookpad teams are fast-paced and highly ambitious, and this role is no exception. Expect to start contributing across the organisation immediately. Examples of expected tasks include, but are not limited to, complex travel arrangements, proactive diary management, board meetings, planning, documentation, interviews and delivering corporate projects.
